I've been running for 20 years.

I started running because my older brother ran in high school and I thought I could do it.

If I could no longer run, I would probably swim more and try not to get out of shape.

My favorite run is hands down, the Perryville path and Rock Cut. The hills and the scenery are great. I like to run with anyone at any pace and my GPS.

My favorite thing to do after a hard workout is drink a chocolate

protein shake.

When I'm not running I like to swim and play with our sons.

I am inspired by people that do things no one thought they could do.

An obstacle or challenge I’ve overcome with my running is my weight.

The local runner I most admire is Brian Miller. He's been running at a high level for a very long time.

To push myself on a run, I think about my racing goals and ask myself if I will get there by being a slacker. The answer is no most of the time.

My greatest running accomplishment is qualifying for the Boston Marathon in May of this year.

My next goal is to run under 3:00 for the marathon, maybe even in Boston.

My advice to other runners is to enjoy it. We put in too much time and effort not to.

I plan to run until it hurts too much.
