The 4 mile trail run starts at 8:30AM, the 7 mile race shortly after at 10:30AM. You can also do the 2.0 Distance Challenge and run BOTH the races for a combined score! Includes a performance race shirt.
If choosing to complete only the 4 mile loop, you'll find yourself traveling through oak and hickory woodlands, over small stream bridges, and finishing through the beautifully restored woodland and prairie trail. A combination of forest trail and beautiful rolling prairie. Choosing only this race, runners will need to arrive for the 8:30AM start. Includes a performance race shirt.
Choosing only the 7 mile loop will include all of the beauty of the 4 mile, along with 2.6 miles through the Kelly Hertel Nature Trail. Choosing only this race, runners will need to arrive for the 10:30AM start. Includes a performance race shirt also.
Are you down for the distance challenge!? Complete both distances for a total of 11 miles for an opportunity to push yourself to the max! You will run the 4mile race promptly at 8:30AM, then at 10:30AM runners will take off from the same start line and follow the 4mile loop again... but this time you'll branch off to include the Kelly Hertel Nature Trail! If completing the DISTANCE CHALLENGE, you will arrive to begin you races at the 8:30AM start. This distance series will include a distinct performance race shirt!
Proceeds from this series will benefit Salute, Inc. a local veteran's organization out of Arlington Heights that are providing local, and worldwide support to veterans and their families. Please visit their website to explore this organization and all they have, and continue, to accomplish in their 20+ years in operation.
